I am targeting people over 40 that decided to go back to school. I want to conduct an interview with them and ask questions such as these: Why did You decide to return to school so late in life, was it a hard decision, was it mainly your idea or did someone else convince you to do so, how was your first day, how is it now , are you glad you made this deecision. I think these are important questions because I had to struggle with each one of them myself. This is going to be so exciting for me, because after talking with others I will realize that I am not alone and this could be comforting to others that are trying to make the same decision.

Each day I come to the campus I look around for potential students to interview.I am not sure how to go about the process of finding the people but my English teacher, Mr. Danny Maye gave me a very good suggestion. So stay tuned for those interviews.

Getting used to this school thing, is going a little slow, but I am determined to make it. As I sit in my classes I observe the young men and women and some of them seem so determined and others running into class late and asking the question "Did we have any homework" I was like them when I first went to college. Not really realizing the importance of it all.Now that I am attempting to do it again, I wish that I had my head on straight in the first place. It is alot harder this time around, but I am determined to make it. This week I am going to start doing intervies with others who have decided to go back to school late in life. Stay tuned for the interviews and the pictures.

My Sociology teacher helped me to remember just how old I was when he made this statement: "Most of you have not been out of highschool for more than 5 or 6 yrs." I got to counting and it had been 30 yrs. for me. I begin to look around the room and there was a lady laughing and shaking her head, so I was relieved to know that I wasn't alone. After class I spoke with that lady and we began to share our feelings about returning to school at a late time in our life. The main thing she said that stuck with me was "I am determined to do this"
